Raising Our Chiropractic Game with CBP!

Me and the team at Spriggs Chiropractic and Spriggs Nutrition have spend the last week in Eagle Idaho at the Ideal Spine Health Centre and the Chiropractic Biophysics (CBP) Doctor Institute. We were here to learn from (in my opinion) the best Chiropractic researchers in the profession at this time. We were learning how to refine our clinical skills, integration and collaboration to provide the best standard of care possible to our patients’. The CBP Doctor Institute is a 17,000 square foot functioning Chiropractic clinic with facilities for holding conferences and seminars and teach others CBP technique. It is Chiropractic paradise and I think it would be impossible to do a bad job there. The instructors there, Dr Deed Harrison, Dr Shirlene Harrison and Dr Jason Jaeger are very positive, caring and enthusiastic people who want nothing more than for us to learn from them, raise your game and provide the best to our patients’.

We attended the training module for both practitioners and clinical staff. The module is all about teaching what spinal adjustments, functional exercises and spinal remodelling techniques are for all members of the team to understand and apply. This is based upon the patients’ postural analysis and x-ray findings. It was amazing to see everyone combine together to make a collective and informed decision on what is best for that patient.

The teams ‘take home’ from this experience has mainly been of improving and raising our game. The CBP doctor institute is a fountain of knowledge and knowledgeable people. They have shown us how it could and should be done, so it is down to us to implement and improve ourselves.

If I could offer anyone some advice for trying to achieve and gain more out of any/all aspects of their life; it would be to surround yourself with like minded and successful people who are better than you at what ever activity or skill you wish to improve. There is an old saying that : “If your are the most intelligent person in the room, you are in the wrong room”.

This can be applied to all aspects of life. If you want to achieve better in a sport, you have to play against people or teams who are better at it than you. That’s how to improve your skills. Don’t keep playing the people you can already beat, play people better than you and they will push you further and make you learn faster, if you want to win. This is the same for everything. I want to achieve more academically, so I surround myself with people who are more knowledgeable than me. I want to start publishing research, so I spend time with researchers. They push my mind and understanding, making me want to learn more and more everyday. I love to learn and push my knowledge and understanding. I hate nothing more than to not know the answer to something I am interested in.

Thanks for taking the time to read this. I hope you found it useful and informative in some way. To learn more about Spriggs Chiropractic and CBP technique click here.
